Eat your pizza, spoiled little princess!

Eat it or go hungry, your choice.

Let her eat it cold.

A gourmet in the making? Or perhaps she ought to see the dentist – seriously, a bad tooth can make things taste weird.

LOL Just let her go hungry, she’ll get less picky…

Little girl, you will eat what is put before you, or you will go hungry.

I could always come up with an alternate in case the kids didn’t like what I was making — I didn’t mind that. But if either of mine had been that much of a fussbudget, I would have let them go hungry that night (fortunately, they never were).

I wasn’t fussy about eating when I was young, but there was one thing I could not abide – my Bubbe Ostroff’s beet borscht! When I mentioned this to her, she said, That’s ok, dear. I’ll just give you more blintzes (yum!), so you will have enough to eat. She was a wonderful woman – I miss her still.

Bread is over there. Peanut butter in the cabinet. Jelly in the fridge. Have at it.
