I don’t make homemade latkes any more; it got to be too much work. My mother used to make them, and I was among the family members who helped grate the potatoes and onions. And then I moved on to making them myself. And they were amazing!
But my gripe with this strip is the use of the word “greasy,” which implies poor quality food overloaded with fat. Yes, latkes have to be fried in oil, but good ones (like mine) were never greasy.
