She’ll probably laugh when it’s all over.

Everyone says that? I have never read of a thief who steals dressed in pajamas, clumsy flat feet!

They showed up very quickly. I wonder if they were following up a “suspicious character” report? That might make them more resistant. But she should be able to show that she knows how to turn off the alarm and have them call her husband to confirm her story. It would hardly be wise to leave a house with a broken window as an invitation to a real thief.

They need to let her in the house so she can get her purse and show them her drivers’ license picture. If they just take her to the police station this way she has no way to identify herself. If they have cell phones on them they could call Len and let her talk to him. They could go to his office and he could identify her.

A seriously stupid situation… cops aren’t that dumb, to suspect a woman in her robe of breaking into a house! ..unless the cops were hired because it suited the “woke” demands!

“What ELSE would I be doing out here in pajamas”

Sadly, today people are so lazy they go out to shop and EVEN dine in restaurants in pajama pants. Ugh!

“That’s what they all say.” This conjures up a picture of burglars slinking around in pjs and slippers instead of the conventional striped jersey and beanie. It also explains the people shopping in them: obviously spending their ill-gotten gains on the way home.
