I guess she forgot about other uses for those plastic grocery bags.

It’s the old “Unseen Consequences” routine, I know it well.

She’s right about getting your own bags, here in Canada everyone uses them for grocery shopping. They’re sold everywhere too. But it’s still good to have plastic bags around for other uses like cat litter. So it wasn’t very smart to throw them all out.

Plastic shopping bags are used in my bathroom waste basket too. I can’t believe they actually sell bags that size, for that purpose.

Our fearless governor banned plastic bags a couple years ago. People were mad because we did reuse them for other purposes. But hey, it made her look good for the environmentalists.

Those bags also get real germy over time because people never wash them.

Actually, when my state (New Mexico) started making noise about banning plastic grocery bags, I simply went on the ‘net and ordered my own – I, too, use them for “poop patrol” and it was either that using trash bags – and they’re ALL too large for the purpose – I DO NOT FAULT our leaders from trying to reduce plastic use – after all – living in a rural area, I see plastic bags stuck in weeds, bushes and trees all the time, so I applaud the attempt, even if it WASN’T well thought out…

They’ll come around when they find it too cumbersome to try to follow the mandates of the Left.

Here in Colorado, if you don’t bring reusuable bags they now charge 10 cents a bag that you get from the store,(if they have them)
