There are plants like rosemary, lavender, or garlic that one can plant along side your vegetables that one can then use as seasoning and will repel deer.

The rabbits will simply dig under the fence. Oh, and you forgot the squirrels. Welcome to the wonderful world of gardening.

Hits close to my home. There is a family of deer living on my property. They love roses and lilacs, but leave the spirea and holly alone. I planted several apricot trees from seeds and built little “cages” to protect them. But now the trees are growing above the top of the cages. The deer are so cute . . .

Don’t be too surprised if the next critters find a way UNDER the fence.

Does Len have a .308 Winchester? Venison is kosher but from my understanding the animal also needs to be slaughtered in a certain way to qualify. And then there are those pesky city ordnances…er…ordinances.

Wait, I thought they lived well within the suburbs of a major city…I mean, it’s not UNHEARD of, but in my experience, deer wandering into your yard is a bit rarer when you’re living that close to a big city like that.

Gonna need a bigger / taller fence dude. And a motion detection lights & sprinkler to deter the raccoons.

The deer are absolutely eating the daylights out of my Hostas this spring. It’s interesting, though, they are particular as to which type they eat and other types they don’t touch. Just today I ordered some kind of deer repellent (in big balls the size of golf balls) to spread around the plants – it’s suppose to repel the deer. It has a unanimous rating of 5 stars, so my hopes are high.
