Not true, I exercise 2 miles a day and eat whatever I want, just not as much as I used to. Now 2 miles is only about 120 calories or so but your metabolism increases with consistent exercising.
If you have to reduce to need to accept that you will be hungry for a while. One cheat day a week you can eat a fried dish or have apiece of cheesecake or something. You don’t have to eat lettuce, it has no real food value. I’d fill my bowl with crunchy veggies and spinach drizzled with home made dressing or just oil and salt.
