Working on my new laptop and it insists that I have google. sigh. The online I have been working with is explorer and it allows me to use gmail. Google wont let me on that line. So sorry, I haven’t been able to get to you Aaron, but you can reach me on gmail as dirtyoldlady1.Lots of fun here in Tahoe. Can’t go into the cacinos. There is no antismoking law in Nevada. Phew. If the realm that Marx brought Flask to is “the crossroads for all parallel universes”, then this fountain is the off-ramp.

String theory. It’s the froth kicked up between universes, made up of the souls of those leaving them. Most find their own way, but some of them need a little help. Marx, who can step outside the universes, does what he can.

Each soul is a thought bubble. The more thoughts making them up, the bigger they are. Some of them burst from cancerous thoughts. Some of them get big enough to be universes themselves, given the chance.

Blows my theories—-again. I’d come up with something else, if I knew just what that is.

I’m starting to miss the humor…I’ve grown fond of the days when Maurice the chef would prepare beans with special spice, or meeting up with a topsider transporter who knew the words to old Chevy commercials…this rich and rewarding story with compelling and sympathetic characters has certainly held my interest, but, really, there hasn’t been a laugh-out-loud bit since DaVinci’s Cinnamon and Trout Gum…

Well, I guess it’s possible to draw some positive implications from the fact that it’s a fountain going “up” and not a well going “down”, but beyond that I got nothin’.

Well there’s something you don’t see every day. LOL Trying to visualize in human terms that which is beyond human experience is tough. Some of our trips give us a peek of the inner workings of the Endtown universe. Those in it won’t always know what we know. These glimpses can be reminders that their world is not ours…and sometimes it’s best to just experience the view.

Reminds me a bit of Inuyasha. There was a ‘Dead’ priestess on the show that would have her Lil snake demons gather souls of young people who died prematurely and she would absorb them and let them “live” through her, thus keeping her alive – or something along those lines. Its been awhile since I saw it. That would be Interesting twist if this fountain were sending souls out to be reborn, and since time is relative and we’ve no idea how long Flask and Marx have been here, it seems possible that Flask may return as Holly and Wallys’ “LOVE CHILD”. Hmmm.

Interesting to note the look of concern on Marx’s face on panel 3. If I were to guess, I’d say that it this point he’s getting ready to pass Flask off to where she’ll be beyond his help and he isn’t quite comfortable with that.

In a way, Marx has chosen to act as an angel of Death, helping one specific person move on to the next life. The biggest question in my mind is why does he seem to have such a connection with Flask. Even if she has “a caboose that won’t quit”, that seems like a lot to go through for mere sex appeal.

My guess is that since they’re in the crossroads, he’s sending her back off to one of the realities. Whether it’s her own or a different one, I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. :)

Nah Nah.You got it all wrong.Holly is going to have a baby. And Flask is now one those fancy high level Pokemons.Didn’t you see the others minor ones floating around.

And I in my line of work have delivered two into this world. I was really surprized. I mean really. I didn’t do it blind folded.

You can find the actual me, not a metaphore me, go to the public website at TXDPS. Look for Recruiting. Link to that. Go to find Recruiters. Go to Region 1 look for Hurst. There I am in all my goodness and whatever. That email address is linked to my gov’t computer with all its super secret security.I do have a personal on. It is the one I am using now. Free spirit in Internet world. And my agency does not mind that I use my own stuff. Now just waiting for Friday posting. What a strange world this Endtown Reality.

Hey,Back when we were all discussing heat displacement and waste disposal. ???Thats where the water in the river goes. You know the one Wally rescued that guy from.Plausible? Possible?Ehh! Now I am going to lunch. Japanese Sushi sounds good about now.Oh and watch those Japanese toilets. They spray water. My little brother age 4 found out a bidet does it too.Straight in the face as he looked over.Did you know there are over 6 million results for Bidet on the Internet? Including Instructions!Learn everyday. It is what keeps life going.

@veteran, I brought up the river idea the other day myself. I was wondering where all the water was going, though. I think I have that figured out also. It’s refilling the Ogalalla aquafir that was drained by us for these last forty years or so. I would hate to think what would happen to Endtown when it finally fills up.

It’s not like I don’t like the way it’s gone this past year—-hey, I didn’t pick up on this strip till about a year ago, and only went back and went over everything these past couple of months.

Right now it’s a rich stew of character and plot with a leavening of humor—-say, like “Star Trek: The Original Series,” but with more angst and survivor guilt. The early strips (most of the stuff in “Endtown 1”) have more guffaws and chuckles to them—-say, like “The Trouble With Tribbles.”

It’s not a complaint—-just a comment. However it continues, I’ll stick with it.

And not one comment back on if Holly is going to have a baby.I mean Wally and her were going at it like rabbits for a while.C’mon. It is a good plot.Involves String Theory, Reincarnation, Angst, Being on Jeopardy (sorry in), the fabric of the universe, alternative realities, heat dispensation, aquifers, and Star Trek and OMG here comes Kirk sorry (Marx) with a Pokemon ball.Towards VGER!!!!!!It can’t get any better than that. I mean wow this ride is great.Oh its Football, Beer, and Pizza tonight. YEAAAAA!

So… Marx is some kind of demi-god, eh? Reincarnation sampled and stirred with alternate universe falderall. Oh well. Once you introduce a god-like being, your world rules can get broken, or just fly out the window. It’ll be interesting to see how things progress from here.

I hope for a resolution of the “Flask’s Story” sequence shortly, but will certainly tolerate it if it goes longer. As for the idea that Wally and Holly will conceive a child that’ll be the reincarnated Flask…I’m hoping for a spring wedding, but whether they have children is up to them.

(I feel pretty good that the Endtowners and the topsiders both are willing to bring children into the world that surrounds them, however mean and terrible it is…)

Actually, building on the idea of reincarnated souls and anthro births, if there is “fate” in the Endtown universe, and if her consciousness is strong enough to keep her “collection of thoughts” together within the recycling bin, then the best match-up would be for Sandy to be reborn as Holly’s baby.
