OK, I know this its a comic strip, but this defies logic.Lynn had turned into a monster. Lynn didn’t like Wally, but I didn’t think he was strong enough character to mutate back and come after Wally. I was sure he was just a ditto contract.May be when passions are strong enough they give extra power.Wally didn’t get “who’s in charge”,, or maybe he did.If this was set up by Lyn he is a lot more powerful than I would have given him credit for.
He ought to be getting good at this business of fighting beings twice his size. He’s sure had plenty of practice… the security guy at Jacob’s rally, Linda’s topsider partner, Marx, Flask, the lizard guy (twice), now Lyn. Wally can’t seem to get along with anyone…. ;-)
Anyone who doesn’t think a cat at about 60 lbs(Wally is bigger than the average cat) wouldn’t be a hand full for an adult male hasn’t ever seen what a cornered cat can do to a slow pitbull. Our dumb 3 legged fuzzy ragdoll with siamese markings(altered) got cornered by one and he put the pitbull in the hospital. After that, that pitbull could not be dragged in front of our house, the walker had to cross the street.
We may be seeing a manifestation of Schism Syndrome expressed through the dittos. I would assume it’s Holly having a schism, but it could be any of them projecting inner demons.
I think the fight music was essentially the same for every episode. Don’t forget they were going for cheap, so all they wanted to pay was one composer for one tune.
Wally is a cat, but have we seen any evidence of claws (retractable or otherwise) or a full set of sharp carnivore type teeth? Outside of sheer rage, what gives him the advantage in a fight?
Oh, things that you say, yeahIs it life or just to play my worries away? You’re all the things I’ve got to rememberYou’re shying awayI’ll be coming for you anyway
Take on me (take on me),Take me on (take on me)I’ll be goneIn a day
Noone likes getting axed. So now he has to stop old man Lyn from getting through with his plans – just to remove the mask and reveal Marx behind it. And he would have gotten away with it, if it wasn´t for those meddling kids.
The Amesworth Bomb fell that very dayIt pretty much blew everything awayFrance went, Spain went, huh…. EVERYTHING wentbut The Cat came back the very next dayThe Cat came back, (oh we thought he was a gonner but)The Cat came back he just wouldn’t stay awayyy..No No just wouldn’t stay away.
We have seen Holly’s back story (at least part 2) most likely from a Dittos’ construct. We know this because of the torments that Sparkplug Jones is/was going through seeing his wife change to monster that killed his daughter.
Maybe what we are seeing now is the battle that is going on in Holly’s head. She loves Lyn and she loves Wally.
Lyn represents the Good Old Days before the War. Wally represents everything that has changed from the way we interact with each other to the way they need to survive.
Which one will claim Holly’s future, the “Good Old Days” or reality as it stands?

This would be better with some wrestling commentary over top of it. “Mah gawd, that cat has killed him!”

At least right now Wally’s got something he can get his claws into. But for how long?
