Poooofed tailed!!!! Duffy acts like he’s been handled this way before. Of course anyone knows you don’t argue with a rhino. Made me think of Gustine. Wonder how they are doing back in Jacob’s idea of utopia?
Now go back and learn what Kirbee and Chic figured out from the comic book.
Here’s a thought. What if there are other interactive devices located throughout Eden that can only be seen with the goggles? Perhaps even in their apartment.
OK, in my further quest to figure out what is going on:
Several characters have now made reference to there being some sort of heirarchy, where some people are “stars”, and others just “background”, in regards to the book that Ravenscroft—and now Wally—saw. Which means that more people have seen the book and know that they are characters in that book.
There have been several references to a “veil”. I have already postulated a crossover between two universes, caused by Amesworth radiation. The Lucranian salvage vessels manage to do it as a matter of course, so it must be a fairly routine occurrence, so their technology and language would naturally include it. This is somehow related to the “map” that Ravenscroft had been working on.
It’s also the big secret that the colony’s leader’s are trying to keep from everyone—their “Area 51”, if you will—evidence of something so mind-blowing and world-changing that it can’t be made common knowledge…
The reference to being cut off from the leadership is kid of similar to what was last happening in the Endtown colony. Maybe Jake’s been working out here, too.
Someone just slipped that sign out there! There are no holidays in this strip! Riots, sure. Kangaroo Court trials, yup. Conspiracies, of course. Holidays? Yeah, right!
Wally’s about to go off and Duffy’s just being passive about the situation, which is why Wally’s a certified badass and Duffy’s got a couple of punk followers.

A Holiday? Well, time to go to the beach Wally!
And don’t forget to take the goggles!

Perhaps this has all been a Topsider experiment, mutant deep cover agents locked into a simulation with our protagonists.

Getting political for a moment – isn’t that a lot like how Labor Day has become?
