And I agree it looks like a filter feeder (baleen). It expels ingested water. One also wonders how it is making that noise. A complicated beast. Well, what else would you expect from Mr. Neathery?

“Thon” is the French word for “tuna”, but these look harder to can.

Naming it isn’t going to make being eaten any more palatable.

I may be the only one and am WAY off base, but it looks like a machine more than an organic creation. The eye don’t look like eyes, more like windows or portholes. The edges are too symmetrical and the “baleen” is too even and neat. I think it is a harvester, not a whale-like creature. Aaron is too good of an artist to make an organic creature look so neat and clean. IMHO

If those big critters have lobed tails, and that one has “bite me” written on its tail…then I have a good guess.

Call it Ishmael, and start swimming or transporting out of there…
