I seldom ‘get’ this comic, but I love the artwork.
Grandma looks pretty good for an old three year old.
Dunno, I’ve seen some pretty tough Cardinals in my day. Flight doesn’t always mean fright.
Ol’ Windbag Winnie makes an excellent point. Complacency will likely shorten life spans in the backyard bird world-particularly when cats are about.
Jr. is looking pretty good for a juvenile northern cardinal. They tend to have more of a mottled plumage until they mature.
Looks like a paraphrase of the old wisdom, “The braver the bird, the fatter the cat”. (But the wise old ancestress didn’t exactly answer the question, did she?)
Summary: “Eat what doesn’t try to catch you, chase what doesn’t fight back too hard, and if it doesn’t move, post photos of it on instagram.”
