If you only get twice a year checkups, drop the dental insurance. It costs way more than the average dentist charges. We dropped ours and we saved money even after a crown or two.
Dental insurance is even worse now. Ours is provided by my wife’s retirement plan. They’ve instituted a cap that means a root canal exceeds it.
