I saw The Three Stooges do something similar to this in one of their shorts, “Sing a Song of Six Pants”. Shemp was adding up a customer’s order, and a strip of paper came out of his mouth, as though he was an adding machine.
Never happened to me — all I get when I pick a call from a fax machine is beeps, screeches and other electronic tones.
