If you think it’s unfair and you appeal to ‘The Board of Equalization’ some fat, old appointed bureau critter will snarl that your tax is based on what your property ‘could be used for’. Do some math; Take your county and find the number of homes. Multiple that number by the average home value. Now apply the effective tax rate. Surprise!
