A friend of mine refers to her gray as “wisdom hair.” It’s a coinage I like very much, as gray long since infiltrated my beard and mustache and is also (very) gradually showing up in what’s left on my bald, 64-year-old head. And due to a recent diagnosis, I’ve acquired my first substantial surgical scar. But I’m still here and still standing, and that’s what I try to keep in mind when it all starts getting to me. But I wouldn’t be unhappy if the universe let me skip the wrinkles.
When I was soooo much younger, many may commercials seemed to be designed to appeal to me. Now, at 75, it seems all but a couple are designed to appeal to me. Why do you suppose that is?
