Anyone who has never done it, give it a try. Though it was a long time ago, I had worked on a trash truck… 55 gallon barrels loaded, some with wet ashes, bottles, and cans, when we could still burn trash… but, even though those aren’t prevalent, anymore, some people load those bags with as much as they can. This raises hell with the shoulders, from having to lift, and toss them into the trucks.

My garbage person drives the truck, stops, gets out and throws the bags into the truck. Tough job!

It is a tough job. All of that running, jumping off and on the truck, lifting. They must be like professional athletes.

Not anymore. Our collectors just drive up, forklift the bins up, empty them into the truck, and drive off. Pretty cool.

How do you get your trash cans back at the end of the day?

If only garbage cans could nest like shopping carts.

That’s not the garbage man. It’s just some random guy walking off with your garbage can.

Or your neighbor taking yours to put the incriminating evidence in then returning it.
