Elly: I hate shopping at this time of day- it's so crowded! Lady: Yeah. Some days I can hardly stand up much less stand in line! Elly: You look exhausted, - you must be a mother! Lady: Worse. I'm a grade 1 teacher.
Oh, come on, teachers have it easy.
What other profession lets you be held absolutely responsible for 25-40 kids at a time but have no real authority to discipline them, be used as a punching bag by both the left and the right, and all for a salary that’s less than that of your average garbage collector, out of which you’ll be expected to buy your own equipment instead of having it supplied by your employer?
