John: Were you visiting the new family? Elly: I took Tracey a casserole, and some other things I thought they could use. Strange...I'd forgotten how to hold a new baby! - I'd forgotten how floppy and tiny and helpless they are! And, you forget how uncomfortable it is to sit down afterwards, how awkward nursing is, at first - and how much work there is to do! ... I can't believe that you can forget what it's like to have a brand new baby! ...I guess that's why we keep having more.
