April: You get to graduate next, Elizabeth! Elizabeth: It's grade 13 grad, April, so it's not really important. April: But you still hafta wear a gown an' a funny hat. Elizabeth: It's just a formality here. It's not really important. April: And you get a diploma! Elizabeth: Not important. April: So why does everybody get dressed up an' go out for a big party afterwards? Elizabeth: THAT part is important!
What I don’t understand is, if there is a grade 13, why do they have a graduation ceremony after grade 12?
