The only thing that bothers me is that ‘Pablo’ is NOT a brazilian name… not usual, at least. It would be more common if it was ‘Paulo’. Pablo sounds more spanish than brazilian, but then again…. there’s lots of immigrants here.

In the early strips, Connie was a divorced single mom, her ex-husband’s name was Pete. They split up because they fought all the time. :P
