April: Grampa, is Michael's mother-in-law related to me? Jim: Indirectly she is - yes. April: Do I have to be nice to her? Jim: You have to be courteous, April. Even if you don't like someone, you must treat them with respect. You'll meet many people in your life who will make you angry - but, holding your temper and thinking carefully before you speak is your best defense. April: Is that what you do? Jim: Let's just say I'm learning.
This should be common sense, what Jim is teaching April. However, a former health teacher of mine said ”Common sense isn’t common at all.”
