Woman: This convenience store is a convenience now to every one but me. Elizabeth: What would you do if you sold it? Woman: Find other digs, get a job somewhere. I'd survive. Elizabeth: Can't you just... retire? Woman: Retirement means living off your savings, Elizabeth. I can't afford to do that. And, I like working. I like people. I like having a reason to get up in the morning. Besides coffee, the paper an' going to the loo.
Find a job at her age? Extremely unlikely. And if she moved out of the store she’d have rent payments as well. She should stay put and hire someone to help.
