For Better or For Worse by Lynn Johnston for October 14, 2005

Deanna: Honey, you can't keep working these long hours. Michael: I'm fine, Dee. Deanna: You get up at 6 to be in the office by 8:30. You're home by 7 P.M. You eat - then come up here to the attic and write until 11 or later! Michael: I'm fine. Honest. Besides, we can use the extra money. Deanna: Don't you see the irony in this, Michael? You don't have to die in order to make a living!
The extra money does not replace quality time spent with your family. Nothing can buy that.
