Elly: Here's a picture of Elizabeth when she was 6 - and one of Michael when he was 9. April: They sure don't look like that anymore. Elly: Here's one of you when you were a baby. April: You've filed all the others away in albums. How come you've never put away these? Elly: Because they're some of my favorites. April: Do you wish we were all little kids again? Elly: No. April: Why? Elly: These pictures say where you've been. ... And I want to know where you're going.
And yet many parents still picture their adult children around the age of 7 or 8…in their mind’s eye.
