While I don’t doubt the intimacy of their relationship, I am skeptical about their communicating on the same level. That’s where Connie has her head in the clouds… while Phil’s is more in the gutter.
If Elly’s husband had a best friend who was the male equivalent of Connie, both Elly and the readers of these comments would be talking about what a low-life John is.
Talk about a double standard. But this comic often preaches it.

Oh, Connie bought Phil the bathrobe, I was thinking she’d bought her brother the robe … my bad.
That is intimate, since they just ‘met’.

Be very, very quiet, Connie’s hunting Phil.

Poor Connie. Phil isn’t interested in a long term relationship.

A bathrobe is a good investment for a short term or sporadic relationship too.

wow, this takes me back to when I had very low self-esteem.
Connie won’t win this one, and neither did I way back when.

Connie should buy herself a bathrobe, a bottle of scotch, and forget Phil !!

I’d forgotten Connie was involved, somewhat, with Phil before Geo came on the scene. Not a good match (Connie and Phil), IMO.

What was all that about three wise men then? The rewriting of the Bible to suit every sub-religion, or just one’s own purpose has become monotonous.

JAD, I think Xmas is not about Jesus but the Winter Solstice.
