A novel idea; angels assembling people AND making mistakes…

That’s going to have Elizabeth really thinking and ask her parents.

That WOULD explain Donald Trump!

This is cute, but……….I just think that certain folks try to skip ahead in the assembly line in heaven and they skip over the common sense, patience lines and go straight to the rudeness and sarcastic lines and get a double dose…..THAT explains Donald Trump. Also add a heaping helping of STUPID. lol

Lynn’s Notes:

This strip inspired a number of readers to write in. Some were pleased to see the subject of birth anomalies discussed in the comics, and others were outraged by the suggestion that angels might work on assembly lines. It’s hard to explain to those who take story-telling so literally that I was not trying to subvert their beliefs. Kids say things like this. The fact that they have faith in something greater and more wonderful than themselves, is part of the magic of childhood! Ah, but now I’m offending those who will object to seeing the words faith and magic in the same sentence. You can’t please ’em all.

I grew up hearing “not till you’re older”—is that out of fashion now? Is it better to tell a child a stupid lie than the truth that they’re just not old enough to understand something?

Brains. Brains. Nah, I don’t want no stinkin’ train.

Interesting how no-one has stood up for Trump. Shows there’s hope for the world yet!

Because everyone wants the child to look “normal.” Adults forget that children learn bullying from them and if they really practiced live and let live, they would not have to remove that extra finger.

I’m glad to see polydactyly in the strip. My wonderful grandson was born with 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot. My son quickly bought one of those kits that can be used to make a print of a baby’s hand. First things first, he wanted to make sure that my grandson would know that he was very special when he was born. Later about 8 months the extra fingers and toes were removed. By that time there were many pictures of that boy. In his case leaving the extras was not an option. The young age at which it was done meant that although my grandson knew and could see how he looked before he had no memory of the actually recovery. We never referred to his extras as being a mistake just that he was born special. Nothing about him was a mistake. He was and is perfect.

What, they couldn’t wait until school started so Christopher could bring Leah in for show-and-tell first?

So, how long before Elizabeth asks one of her parents if the Angels who assembled her made a “Mistake” when they left off the “Boy Parts” ???.

I was working a job that required me to collect thumb prints. Will never forget this little guy who had his hand in his pocket. When I asked for a thumb print, out came the hand with TWO thumbs! I was surprised and just said, “Oh, you have an extra!” He grinned and submitted to printing the larger one. He was from a foreign country and probably never had the option of having one removed. It must have been stressful for him to even come to a govt office, knowing what was in store for him. I don’t think I embarrassed him.

History is Full of people who, to their Dying Day, regretted the time that they said: “It can’t be any Worse …”..It can Always be Worse.I can remember once hearing someone saying: “There will Never be a Worse President that Reagan.”Then, along came Dubya….
