I wonder how old Michael is in the ’toon?

My husband has collected die cast cars since he was a child back in the ‘60s. He hated when “friends” would come over and, when playing cars, would smash them like that, and didn’t get why they would. (I put “friends” in quotes because he had the best collection, but kids would only go over on rainy days…but no one would invite him to join them on the sunny days.) He still has most of his originals, in excellent condition, and he still buys them.

It’s fun because he has a free day with no one around to bug him or tease him. He took that box out of the back of his closet and can just let loose for one more time.

Most boys Michael’s age have moved on to building soapbox derby cars by now-———————————Where do you live? I’ve never seen anyone here in Connecticut build a soapbox derby racer.The closest they’ve come is a small (maybe 8 inch) wooden-bodied racer made for competitions.

Mikes at that age where boys occasionally revert to playing with toys( no friends around,or its raining outside) same as girls10 to 12 who haul out the doll collection under similar circumstances. Don’t worry folks,he will be back to tormenting Lizzy,or Molly and her sister tomorrow with any luck!
