Sorting things out will be easy, old Ed. Thelma and her husband Bill will remind you that you had been together with her for only 9 months at the end of her life when there were no other men around for her to choose from. Your wife will remind you about your children and grandchildren and the decades you had together. All of them will indicate that they find the idea of you and Bill sharing Thelma in the afterlife is not going to work at all.

The afterlife is going to be completely different from what we’ve got here … I don’t think the amount of time spent together will be the most important thing – it’s going to be the LOVE that binds us ALL together.

I hope so. Thelma’s husband has been fraternizing with your wife all this time.

This is actually a very practical strip for a man in his position.

You won’t have to sort out anything. In heaven our focus will be on the Lord. Though I still anticipate really getting to know people I don’t know here as well as I’d like to. We’ll have all eternity and none of this “Oh I have to run, gotta do this and that” and no time for a real long talk.

Toms1945 – I’m tempted to put something slightly snarky but it’s a comic where the key characters are plainly Christians so please and love to everyone! :)

Being a minority it is fun to sting the Leviathan in our midst in the USA. many heads one core belief. But which ones are right? Are any of them right?

    Lynn’s Notes:

I spent a lot of time with my father-in-law after my mother-in-law died. He talked easily and openly about his feelings, as did my dad when he lost my mother. I was grateful for their candid conversation and their heartfelt expressions of love and loss, and their hope for reunion. I felt as if they were preparing me for my own experience yet to come. You never stop learning.

I agree, “you never stop learning” which people should remember because too many think school is over so no more learning!

I remember Dad saying that after his second wife passed. Several months later when he passed as well, I wondered the same thing!

Humans have in infinite capacity to wonder and to create fictional worlds without end.
