makes me wonder how Japanese furniture movers are super careful as to not drop the heavy, two-person furniture on their shoeless feet every time they enter after taking after their shoes off

When we have had things like this done to our house, the workers tend to lay down plastic for walkways to avoid the very thing Elly is complaining about. Maybe they don’t do this in Canada?

Contractor’s fee….$50/hr…..If you wait, $60/hr…..If you watch, $70/hr…..If you help, $100/hr……

It would be easier for her to get a huge roll of painter’s plastic and duct tape it down to all the floors in the house.

The mess they leave in your house may be nothing compared to that language! You’ll have to live with the mess til they’re done, I’m afraid, Elly, but you have every right to ask them not to use foul language around you and your kids.

A good construction crew does in fact clean up after themselves, just probably Not to Liz’s standards.
