Michael, you brought up the idea to let your parents use such a box!

Michael may have thought it was a good idea, but it doesn’t last but two panels. The garbage box is a terrible place for a snowball fort. Michael has no easy access to the snow he needs for the snowballs and every time he would reach outside for snow, he would make himself into an easy target. Also, it’s going to stink in that box.

Ah. Children. They repurpose things all the time for improper activities. John’s hard work went to pits – pun intended.

Wait until dad decides that it would be good for Michael to start cleaning up messes now. He wants to be an adult. Then get out there and re-bag that mess!

I guess besides removing the bags, I don’t get the joke. Michael is fooling around with the box? That is like playing inside a dumpster!

Kids have imaginations that can make almost anything a fun toy. Even teens.

This seems like something Michael would have done when he was closer to the age Elizabeth is now (in the strips). For this strip, it seems that Lynn took his age back a few years to make the joke.

A certain someone won’t have nearly as much fun when he has to pick up all that garbage. Punishment to fit the crime….and a lecture to go with it.
