“ladies first” after all

Michael is 13 years old and Elly estimates that in 3, 5 years, he will stop acting like a creep, I mean, teenager. Oh, Elly. You don’t remember anything about being a teenager, do you? If you don’t stop him from being mean to his sister now, then he will continue to be mean to his sister all the way to the final years of this comic strip.

IMO, although all these minor skirmishes between the two kiddoes look really aggravating , they are excellent issues that will enable both kiddoes to get along with others throughout their adult lives. As an adult worker, you have to be able to get along with your peers just as you also have to do so while in college or university.

If you think Michael’s bad, just wait until Elizabeth is 12 or 13, getting moody and emotional at a certain time of the month.

Three to five years? Sadly, there are some who never outgrow it.

My brother was five years older than I and we did our fair share of fighting. when we were young. Once we were no longer living in the same house, we started getting along just great! He died about 6 weeks before he would have turned 50 and I still miss him all the time.

Being the oldest isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, Lizzie. Trust me on that one.

I must have been abnormal. I was good to my brothers and only had trouble from the next oldest who seemed to have gotten what I missed.

However due to circumstances I was forced to act as father. Not something I would recommend for anyone. I think that was where the hostility came from.

Thank you Lynn for these consistently good comics. I so enjoy reading them, and admire your skill at showing emotions with the littlest changes. Enjoy a blessed Christmas.

It’s a no win situation; since if you’re born first you still have to deal with the sister and brother being a PITA as they grow up!
