1. $18.65? I thought this story began with Michael being broke and needing to borrow $5 from Gordon just so he could go on the date. Math broke, not Mike.
2. Snort? It looks like Gordon is wiping his nose from crying about Allyson. Suddenly I get a feeling for the torture Mike and Martha went through watching that movie while having to listen to Gordon sob behind them the whole time.
3. Better off not having a girlfriend? Complaining about how awful it is to have a girlfriend to your friend who can’t get a date is a lot like complaining about how it stinks to go to work to a friend who’s unemployed. At least he doesn’t slam Martha until after she leaves for the washroom.
4. Freedom? Michael is able to leave his house at night to go on a date with his girlfriend and his parents are oblivious. That’s pretty free. How much more freedom does 14-year-old Michael want?
