I’m not used to silence either when I sleep at night; I tend to listen to relaxing, instrumental music on my CD player.

At least the major problem was solved…

Seems Georgia listens in every time Phil is on the phone. Is she one of those wives who doesn’t trust their husbands? Well, Phil WAS a player before he met Georgia. She probably knows that and feels she should listen in to make sure he’s not talking to an ex.

Can’t have it both ways Phill. ;D

After putting up with all that racket from the dog barking it will take a few days to get used to the silence at night again.

So—Bullard IS an extortionist, as someone posted yesterday.

At one point, our family lived on the big main road running through town. Semis went up and down it all night. Then we moved out to the “suburbs”. The silence was deafening.

Bullard: Hm.

I grew up on a very quiet road out in the boonies where the only car we heard was someone who lived on the street. The train went through at 2am and 4am and was almost two miles away and we could still hear the whistle in the distance. When I moved out and got my apartment, it was such a jarring experience to hear people in the halls at all hours and the person clopping around above me. Ugh

Okay, I was not expecting that to work, lol. Pretty unexpected twist, though I find the ending here funny- classic irony!

I visited a friend in the country for a few days and had trouble sleeping, no noise. Wait till Bullard buys a new dog, great racket, figuratively and literally.

…phooey…

Time for you and Geo to “make some noise” then!

Hmmm, it seems like this would fit into the definition of extortion.

I have really sensitive hearing (my audiologist called it “bionic”), and my husband snores. I’ve been using earplugs for so long, I can’t sleep without them, even when I’m by myself. Too noisy.

We have the Wild Life cacophony here every night. It is rather soothing in its’ consistency.. Everybody is used to it and accepts it as part of our yard life.

Motto: Be careful what you wish for!

It took two years to get used to the noise in the city at night, back in the suburbs and I still am not used to the quiet again.

The neighbor will get another barking dog. Good way make a little “beer money”.

The dog’s name was Porker??

I have a bunch of tape cassettes, and a Walkman, never use them.just have then…VHS too.

It is what it is!

Never had a barker like that, but I never could have sold any of my dogs. Loved them too much…..

Bullard will use the cash to buy another dog at 1/2 the cost

Typical how humans handle things, the person responsible refuses to do anything until victims fork over money to solve the problems.

Someone who lived by the tracks just slept through the train going by every night at 3 a.m. Then one night the train didn’t run and he woke up at 3 and said “what was that?”

It took me a long time, after moving into the country(side), to get used to “silence” at night. Well, it is a different type of silence.I’m not far outside town now and can still hear the train in the distance if I’m outside at night. But I will also hear owls, frogs, and sometimes other wildlife.Oh, how I could tell a story about an event that occurred within four months after I moved into my “cabin in the woods.”

Yeah I sleep with a fan running, I really need the white noise.

The Silence of the Lamebrain is deafening!

I am so glad to hear that many others have to sleep with a fan on for white noise, I thought I was one of the few. I have to run one because if it is too quiet I hear my heartbeat in my head and then it bothers my nerves and I will go into a panic attack and then sleep is out of the question for a couple of hours so I run a fan on medium for the white noise plus I tend to get warm while sleeping so it also helps me to sleep more comfortably. I even sleep with the fan on in the cold of winter and don’t mind it. Before jerk of soon to be ex husband left me he hated the fan running and was always cold so he had to put an extra blanket on his side of the bed but oh well, I told him would he rather have to cover up with extra blanket or be kept awake by my having a panic attack and he got it then.

Ok. We are used to silence. The barking was tooo long.
