Oh; Come on. We all know that worried look.

Now I am wondering where it is that John gets his hair cut. For me, you have that moment when the haircutter hands you the hand mirror and swivels you to where your back is to the big mirror, so you can easily see the back of your head. For some reason, that move is the one move John is not doing. Maybe Elly cuts his hair?

Hair today, gone tomorrow.

Check maternal grandfather, then the father of the maternal grandmother for the odds. If they didn’t bald, then the prospect is three to one against it.

Solved that thinning issue a long time ago, I shave my head bald so you can’t see the thin spot…

Contemplate endlessly, yes. Worry? Of course not!

As long as he’s not thin where it counts.

Just tell her she’s getting a little thick on the bottom.

My recently deceased wife cut my hair for the last 14 years, she would comment about the “spot” in the back and I said not my problem I can’t see it. She was really the one who decided when I “looked like I needed a haircut” because she had to look at it.

Not much anyway, huh Pops?

Yeah right. He is one of those guys who care about their hair

Every time my wife cuts my hair(she has been doing it for 25 years)she tells me that I am getting thin on top. And yet after 25 years I am not yet bald

My hair turned white about 20 years ago, then about 10 years ago it started changing back to my old color, dark brown. So now my hair is dark brown again, but my ’stash is still white which is just plain weird.

Back in the day I researched that stuff. No baldness apparent? At 50 I lost my hair. Drat!

Lynn Johnston has in the past talked about how she used to do these kinds of comic strips to needle her husband at the time. Rod Johnston is today 76 years old and judging from his dental website, still has a full head of hair. 29 years earlier, when this comic strip came out, he was probably in no danger of having a bald spot.

She did similar things back during a time when he was a health nut and was in great physical shape. She would do comic strips about John Patterson being flabby and weak.

When I saw this one, I thought this was just another one of those comic strips.

Yes you are John. My hubby already knows on his, yet his dad never went bald, his older brother did go bald early in life. Now our son unknown if he will as he still has hair age 38.

It happens..

It’s only the fact that Ellie has mentioned it, that John’s getting worried about it.
