Oh good grief Elly, recognize he is an adult and lay off the tyrannical mom mode of an 8 year old. “Would you please get me” would get a far better action/reaction.

The older I get, the less respect I have for Ely as a mother. My son is almost 40 and I NEVER treated him, or neglected him, the way Ely does with her kids.

My own mother was a piece of….work, so whenever I had a parenting question I thought “What would MY mother do?” And then I did the opposite.

Is it just me but today’s comic twist between hot water and cold water didn’t seem that funny to me or make me laugh. I didn’t even slightly chuckle.

See, Ellie? You were busy hassling Michael; and you could have called the plumber.

I’m on Mike’s side with this arc both after this and before it. While 3 is a bit much, if el cared so muchs he could’ve made sure sooner, or you know.. remembered what it’s like to work a part time job and school. I didn’t, but I know it must be hell.

Lynn’s so impressed with the “a lot of COLD water” wordplay that she’s flooded the basement so she can have Michael say it. Pity the characters who are subject to the whims of such a capricious creator.

What is it with the flooded basement cliché? Does this ever really happen?

Well, if she hasn’t cleaned up the mess in the rec room from April’s party, this’ll take care of it.

I see the culprit. It’s those raccoons that are constantly leaving prints on the wall in the Patterson household. In panel 3, you can see a raccoon print clearly on the wall just above the water level. The raccoons must have gotten in and forgot to shut the flood gates in the basement.

Whew she goes way overboard with her parenting. Just never cared they slept a lot. Need to get it in before life hits and they never get enough.

And serve her right!
