Easier to just buy a new door and paint it a pretty color. Give the house a bit facelift.

an acquaintance bought some aluminum flashing. it looked pretty snazzy, and the dog hated it.

Was it glued on there?

I think he needs to remove it, sand it down after getting the pieces off, and THEN paint it!

I see some sanding and repainting in John’s immediate future.

Sometimes plans just look better on paper. My husband, daughters & I were going to spend a day up at the local race track. We packed a lunch & decided to get a bunch of juice pouches – you know, the foil ones that you poke with a straw. We came up with an idea: if we froze a few of them they could be used instead of ice to keep all of the drinks cold! Unfortunately, the idea worked too well. Because of the foil, instead of the few frozen ones slowly thawing and cooling off the rest, THEY ALL FROZE! From that day on, we call ideas that look better on paper than in actual use “a juice pouch idea”.

I know this is a comic strip and we’re often asked to suspend our disbelief but I find it very strange that the Pattersons would have a doorbell at their backdoor. Perhaps, I’m reading today’s strip incorrectly.

That’s pretty funny. and so true to life.

What is this, a catch-up strip for everyone who got so bored with the Edgar-at-the-door strips that they skipped them?

Heat applied to the area would loosen the glue making the carpet easier to remove and with less damage.

April is doing a pretty good job with the exposition, but why in the world would you give the exposition job to the 4-year-old character? Since Mike missed most of this story for being in school, I would have picked him for all this talking.

Better take a trip to Home Depot, sir.

I guess the question is are those scratches because she waited too long to put up the carpet… or is that glue residue? Or maybe even pieces of “permanently” attached Carpet backing?
