April should see a speech therapist to learn to pronounce “th”.

Since this strip was rerun, there had been some upgrading modifications in dialogue. Does anyone know if, in the original strip, April said “nursery school”, and not “pre-K”?

Usually, the only reason people don’t like turnips are those that don’t know how to cook them or understand they need a little more moisture and take a little longer than potatoes. With knowledge they can replace potatoes in most dishes.

I find turnips rather bland by themselves. Not much of a face to make there. Now bite into a lemon and you’ve got soemthing, but a lemon is a fuit so not under consideration here.

That’s ‘Elizaabeth’ for you——she probably hasn’t eaten a turnip just listened to her friends that have. I find nothing objectionable to turnips although, I prefer them raw (better flavor)than cooked but acceptable replacement for potatoes none the less.

Hey! I like turnips. Raw with a bit of salt. Good snack.

Fun fact: carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns is a North American modification of an old European tradition of carving lanterns out of turnips.

Every time I tell somebody that when I eat turnips they make me gag, like I’m going to be sick, they reply "But I like turnips! "SMH!!

Turnips are OK. Not my all time favorite vegetable, but they’re ok.

Fall fairs at school, I remember those. They were fun ! ;-)

I don’t liked them cooked but eating them raw was a treat when l was a kid. We were pretty poor…..
