Andy: Now that I think about is, maybe the reason cartoonists aren't flocking to imitate "Dilbert" is because they are smart. Maybe they recognize that "Dilbert" is successful because it is "Dilbert" - it isn't trying to follow someone else's formula. Maybe the key to a good comic strip is to find and incorporate ideas that others aren't currently using. Jason: Mom! Dad! Check out this cool stuffed tiger I found! Andy: Perhaps I should include the recent past in there as well. Roger: I don't know. There's something to be said for nostalgia.
