Jason: During the late fall and winter months, the earth's northern hemisphere tilts away from the sun. This part of the planet, then, has longer nights, shorter days, and presents a smaller target for solar radiation. Which means it gets colder and colder. Am I not making this clear enough?! Peter: Hey, Jason - wanna play tennis?
