I think the dentist had something other than a dance on his mind.

A floss is a dance?

I twisted, bumped, rocked, chickened, jerked, slowed, swimmed, roboted, and who knows what else, but never flossed. And at my age I think that if I tried I might never walk again.

Why was this needed?

I’ve heard of it as a dance, but not seen how it’s done (I don’t watch much TV).

I’ve seen the dance before, but didn’t know the name. Now that I know the name, it makes sense. But I won’t be doing that kind of flossing anytime soon.
