‘The Europeans’? You do realize that Europe consists of a lot of countries, every one with their own (eating) culture, sometimes radically different even within one country?

Snails is primarily a French dish… so far as I know… :)

my sister is the same, i try to scare her with a beetle and she just says” ooo cool!”

I made the mistake of introducing my one and only to things like escargot and lobster. What was I thinking?

No problem here, my one and only would retch at the mere thought. I get to eat all the escargot and all the lobster, shrimp etc.

I’ve never had escargot, I’ve eatten shrimp and lobster. My husband got sick on lobster. I don’t know if anyone will be eatting anytype of fish very soon, due to that disasterious oil spillage, I’ve lost count on how many gallons of oil that rig is loosing each day.

Paige what a way to make your brother suffer pay back time. I also heard of a brother and sister where the brother pulled one on his sister she waited years to get him back and she did but what she did I think pailed in comparison.

I haven’t spoken to my sister in nine years, but I’m thinking of making up for that next February.

This is a disconnect i’ve never understood. Crabs, lobsters and shrimps are delicacies but insects are yukky! Oysters, clams and mussels are delicacies but snails are yukky!

Some people do eat locusts with wild honey, or chocolate covered insects of various kinds.
