Paige: Daddy really quit his job? Andy: Yup. Paige: What's he going to do? Andy: Who knows. His plan is to spend more time here at home. Paige: Before we end up in the poorhouse? Andy: Try the nut-house. Roger: Whoops. Kids, what was your second choice for lunch?
I know it is easier to get a new, better job, if you search and find it before quitting your other job. I have a brother who quit a good job in the late 80’s and spent all his 401K savings on a trip to Europe. Ever since then, he has rarely been employed, and never at near the wage or benefits he had previously. Sad thing is, where he was working, he could have just taken an unpaid leave of absence, and a loan from his 401K, then still had a job when he returned. Instead, he’s lived worse than many illegal aliens. Even if a person doesn’t like his or her job, don’t quit until you have something better!
