I wish people a Merry Christmas whether they like it or not. It’s become a secular holiday devoted to the god of consumerism. So “Merry Christmas” should be about as controversial as “Good Morning” or “Good Evening” and even less controversial than “Bless you” when someone sneezes.
I don’t see it as proselyting. If I want to do that, I’ll bash you over your head with a Bible until you relent (or repent or whatever you’re supposed to do) I’m not going to get all bent out of shape trying to be politically correct. Besides, “I wish you a happy whatever seasonal holiday you celebrate at this time of year or not,” is too long to say.
I’ve also been known to wish people a Happy Hanukah (however you spell it and whenever it happens). Christmas, at least says put on the calendar and is never “early” or “late.”
Now if you want to take my Merry Christmas in a religious sense, that’s entirely up to you. That could either be a good thing or bad thing, depending on your point of view.

“Peace on Earth and good will toward men”, huh? How very sincere of you, Jason.

Actually, I’ve already seen stuff like this posted on Facebook this year — and I agree, it’s pathetic!

I’m pretty sure people do this one already year round. The Starbucks fiasco basically shows how people feel.

I’d send out that card if I had any friends that were opposed to Christmas.

That’s kinda like saying “May nobody bless you” when an atheist sneezes, isn’t it? :-P
