So many times I’d talk to other parents at my daughters’ school. They’d be all, “Oh, the [local TV station] weather says we’re going to get dumped; school will probably be cancelled tomorrow.” I’d answer, “The Weather Channel says that we’re not going to get hit as hard.” 9 times out of 10…I was right.
In my family, nobody ever put off studying in the hope that being tested on the knowledge might be delayed. Once it was done, we had the rest of the time free for other pursuits. Result: lower stress, higher grades, and more fun.
When I first went to college for my bachlor’s degree I ended up with a 2.45 GPA (about a C+) a few years ago I went to a local community college for an associates degree and ended up with a 3.8 GPA, graduating with honors. Amazing what 20 years can teach you about studying.

My hero is Wally in Dilbert. He tops Peter by a mile because he doesn’t even try.
