Today’s strip reminds me of the joke brands of cigarettes they used to sell in Tijuana. (I say “used to” as I have not been there since the mid 1970s so I don’t know if the joke is still relevant) They were made of a mixture of rabbit and goat droppings.
I’m surprised how many people didn’t know what “bano” meant. I see it used often in larger stores (e.g., Home Depot), and we often call it that when in such a store. I guess growing up in California, even in the 1960’s, one saw it often enough so as not to give it a second thought (I do wish I knew Spanish better, though). By the way, I have no idea how to type in the “~” over the “n”!
