I walked IN to a new Home Depot and the alarms went off!!! A little overzealous.

You have to wonder about motivation. For some people, it’s the thrill of the game: “Can I get away with it?” or the excitement of potentially being caught. Of course, there is the obvious: I want it and I don’t want to pay for it.

In every gamble you have to evaluate the risk vs. the payoff and of course, if you can’t afford to lose, don’t play.

So if you pay and the cashier gives you too much change, do you pocket it and walk out?

The other day I got fuel, got home and saw on the receipt that the cashier didn’t ring it up. Went back to the store to pay up. Didn’t even get a thank you for being honest. But then, they said the cameras picked up everything and it would have been reported to the police anyway so they would have gotten me. Still, a thank you would have been nice.
