What do y’all Fox Trot readers reckon her name is? I’d say Zoe.

Friend of mine named her daughter Ariel… She would have been about Page’s age when this was first published.

Does anyone use “wreak” with an object other than havoc?

Of course, the boy’s room in the school probably wreaks, but they spell it differently.

i make a point of never correcting my name when someone gets it wrong as it embarrasses them. So at the hospital they call me Bob, Customers at work call me Rob, Rod, Ron, Roy, Mike, or Mr. Bulk. Random people i encounter call me thebulkguy because they know where i work but not my name.

It’s never said how big the school that Peter and Paige go to is. It may be large enough so there may be kids who only know each other because they were one class together. But it could be a small school because they had so few try out for the baseball team.

Call her “Sweet Cakes”, that should get a reaction…

I remember high school. 4 years of not having any girls talk to me. Steve’s already ahead of the game.

I had problems with names in my sophomore year (there were over 700 students in our graduating class). I bought the school yearbook as soon as it came out, and I could look through class pictures frequently to refresh my recollection.

Rookie mistake, Steve. You have to start with the most common names for your birth year (available from Social Security’s website).

Since the strip is from 1999, and the boys are supposed to be 16, start with Jennifer, and if that doesn’t work, go with Jessica, Amanda, Ashley, Sarah….
