My proposed calendar has 13 months of 28 days each. Each month starts on Sunday the first and ends on Saturday the 28th. This accounts for 364 days.
The extra day comes between the last day of the last month and the first day of the first month. It is not a day of the week nor a date during the month. It is simply New Year’s day. So it assures a three-day weekend.
On Leap Year, New Year’s day is followed by Leap Day which means a 4-day weekend.
I can’t get traction for this proposal as this calendar has 13 Friday the 13ths on it. Also, since every month is identical, calendar makers are lobbying against it.
