I recently read Stephen Greenblatt’s “The Rise and Fall of Adam and Eve.” One reason Creation/Temptation/Expulsion scenes were a perennial feature of religious art was that it was Christian artists’ only excuse* to depict nudes (fig leaves notwithstanding). Of course by the time the Renaissance rolled around you started getting nude Davids, but there’s no support for the idea that David faced Goliath in the buff.
*OK, they could also show naked people burning in hell…
If God made us all in his image and likeness, then what color is God’s skin? What kind of genitals does “he” possess?
If God made Eve out of Adam, does than make Eve the first transgendered person? What bathroom would she have to use if she lived in North Carolina? It’s a trick question. Since Eve wasn’t born in the United States, she would not be allowed into the country.
Since we of many colors are all descendants of Adam and Eve and of Noah’s family, then Adam and Eve and Noah and his family must have been multi-racial households. How else could the variations in skin color be explained: evolution?

There is nothing wrong with the human form.
The human body comes in two sexes, many sizes and shapes and several attractive colors.
We can all pretty much guess what a person might look like at least to the extent of not “I’ve never seen that before” (outside of the internet).
I do not consider the human body to be erotic. Now what men and women do with their bodies, that’s a different story.
I wear a mask out of courtesy to other people. It’s the same reason with clothes. I don’t care, but they might.

Because of Lent, our church has the crucifix and all the statues covered in black cloth. Looks creepy.

I’m not worried about the Vatican. It’s probably the richest organization in the world.

It’s lent. The statues in most churches are covered with purple shrouds.

Pope Paul IV mandated the placement of fig leaves on art, then Pope Pius IX who destroyed the genitalia of statues. Religion eh?
