Frank and Ernest by Thaves for December 11, 2016
Transcript:
Child 1: I'm losing sleep! The naughty-nice standard is so vague and confusing! Child 2: Maybe "good" is not an objective fact. In "Hamlet" Shakespeare said "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Child 3: Does Santa take into consideration that other things might be as important as simply being good? Child 4: You know, Oscar Wilde said "It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious." Santa: Kids today worry too much and overanalyze everything. As long as they keep their rooms tidy and eat their vegetables, they won't be getting coal in their stockings.
It’s kind of heartening to hear little kids quoting Shakespeare and Wilde.
